Shopping from veteran-owned businesses supports those who have served, strengthens the economy, and promotes values like integrity and resilience. Here’s why choosing veteran-owned companies matters:
• Veterans bring discipline, leadership, and a strong work ethic from their military experience into their businesses.
• Supporting veterans is a tangible way to recognize their service.
• There are over 2 million veteran-owned businesses in the U.S., employing more than 5 million people and generating over $1.2 trillion annually. Veteran-owned businesses contribute significantly to local economies and national growth.
• Veteran entrepreneurs often build companies rooted in honor, reliability, and mission-driven focus—traits honed during military service. Consumers often find these businesses to be trustworthy and service oriented.
• Many veteran-owned businesses are small or local, meaning your dollars stay within the community. Veteran-owned businesses often support fellow veterans through hiring, mentorship, and charitable initiatives.
• Veterans start businesses at a higher rate than civilians, often overcoming challenges like limited access to capital or competition from larger firms. Your support helps fuel their entrepreneurial spirit and fosters innovation.
Veteran-owned shopping isn’t just patriotic—it’s practical, impactful, and deeply meaningful.
Our company's founder was a former Aviation Rescue Swimmer (AIRRs). A Navy Search and Rescue (SAR) Swimmer is a highly trained sailor who performs life-saving missions in maritime environments, often under extreme conditions. These elite specialists are part of the Navy’s emergency response teams and are known for their courage, endurance, and technical skill. Their core mission is "So Others May Live" and their responsibilities include:
•Rescuing personnel from the ocean, whether it’s a man overboard, a downed pilot, or someone in distress during naval operations.
• Operation from ships, helicopters, or shore-based units and are often deployed in high-risk, time-sensitive situations.
• Providing first aid and stabilizing victims until further help arrives.
• Supporting disaster relief and rescue efforts in civilian contexts.
• Assisting with underway replenishments and other naval logistics where safety risks are high.
SAR swimmers undergo intense physical and mental training, including water survival, advanced swimming techniques, and emergency medical procedures. They must pass rigorous evaluations in endurance, strength, and rescue scenarios. Many are part of the Navy Warrior Challenge Program, which includes some of the Navy’s most demanding roles. Traits of a SAR Swimmer include:
• Exceptional physical fitness
• Strong mental resilience
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
• Deep commitment to teamwork and mission success
